any idea on waht is going on ?

#2

I think voipjet only supports IAX… (leastways that’s what their website says…)

#3

oh yeah. is there a sip phone that you know of that supports that? I am still new to asterisk so i have a lot of learning to do!.

#4

software one? yes, i’ve been using idefisk. works fine… but that’s not the problem. the issue is not what your softphone uses (SIP vs IAX) but how you’re connecting to the voipjet server from your asterisk box. that needs to be IAX!

#5

how do i set that ?

#6

in the trunk. is your asterisk server registered with voipjet? presumably they gave you account info? if so, you should have set the trunk up as IAX, not SIP. if you’ve never created anything, when you login to the voipjet members page, there is a link for setting up asterisk, which is customized for you…

#7

yes i set it for iax

#8

oh, sorry, i misread the logs. your softphone is SIP, which confused me. it looks like it isn’t even getting as far as sending the request to voipjet. can you post your SIP config for the softphone?

#9

now i am making more progress. before i got a bad gateway message now i have a voice telling me alll circuts are busy any ideas?

#10

yes, keep posting asterisk logs as you make progress

Is the interesting stuff. Double-check your username and password in the registration and etc… It doesn’t look like voipjet’s server accepted the call. I can’t really tell more from here. If you’re still stuck, contact their tech support folks and ask what they see at their end.
