Using Asterisk to test SIP trunking?

Hello,

I would like to connect my IP PBX to Asterisk via a SIP trunk, and use Asterisk to emulate a SIP Service Provider.

Basically, I want to be able to perform SIP protocol conformance testing for my PBX.

Has anyone tried this ?
