We’re looking to upgrade our Asterisk installations and would like to weigh up the pros and cons of upgrading to a standard release vs one with LTS.
Is it recommended to just upgrade to the latest version regardless of release type or is it better to sit on one with LTS even if it is slightly behind?
Appreciate any all input.

As with most software the latest versions will sometimes have newer features. Other times items that were depicated in a LTS version would be removed from a non LTS version. I personally like to stay on LTS for production but use non LTS where there is a feautre I need or I am developing out and want to test on the latest version.
Thanks for the insight on this and this is pretty much my viewpoint on it as well!
