Trying to get H323 or OOH323 working please help!

Hello,

I have been trying to get H323 or OOH323 working in Asterisk without success. One thing that is bugging me is this, Below SIP and IAX both show Yes for Devicestate, Indications and Transfer but H323 and OOH323 only show yes for Indications. What does this mean?

*CLI> show channeltypes
Type Description Devicestate Indications Transfer

OOH323 Objective Systems H323 Channel Driver no yes no
SIP Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) yes yes yes
H323 The NuFone Network’s Open H.323 Channel no yes no
IAX2 Inter Asterisk eXchange Driver (Ver 2) yes yes yes

regards,

Elkabong

Please can someone tell me if ooh323 is meant to show as yes yes yes when I do “show channeltypes” from the CLI?

I am wondering if this is the reason why neither ooh323 or h323 are working. I refuse to believe that no one here is using ooh323/h323.

regards,

Elkabong

I am also trying to get H.323 trunking working and I am making some progress:
N3NCY.com/UNIX/Debian/Asterisk-1.6x.htm

The command you asked about: "show channeltypes"
is not a valid option on my system, but I do have:

ooh323 show config
Objective Open H.323 Channel Driver’s Config:
IP:Port: 0.0.0.0:1720
FastStart yes
Tunneling yes
CallerId asterisk
MediaWaitForConnect no
Gatekeeper: No Gatekeeper
H.323 LogFile: /var/log/asterisk/h323_log
Context: default
Capability: 0x6 (gsm|ulaw)
DTMF Mode: rfc2833
AccountCode: ast_h323
AMA flags: Unknown
Aliases:
100 ObjSysAsterisk

Does anyone know if the Web GUI 2.x can setup an H.323 trunk?
