Timing with Fritz ISDN cards

Hey guys,

I hope someone can answer what I imagine is a pretty newbie question. :smile: I’m planning a small initial Asterisk installation with 2x AVM!Fritz ISDN cards connected to two ISDN B1 lines.

However, I know that Asterisk needs a Zaptel card for timing purposes for things like MeetMe.

My question is: Will I still need to compile and enable ztdummy or will chan_capi and the ISDN drivers handle this for me? Are they considered Zap channels? I haven’t read anything on the Wiki or other locations that answers this for me.
