Yes.
Digium have response:
Valerio,
Unfortunately, Digium cards are incompatible with PCI-X and PCIe. Your >server must have a standard 3.3V PCI slot in order to install the TE410P.
Is correct?
How can i install on PCI-X?
thanks,valerio
I think Digium just hasn’t tried. I just got a new Dell PowerEdge 1950 with PCI-X risers (You have only two options, PCI-E or PCI-X - no legacy). I just plunked a TDM800P in the machine and I haven’t had any problems at all. It runs just fine. Granted its only been there for about a week - but I figure if the plug fits… it works.
EDIT: Oh, by the way. PCI-X is just a faster version of good ol’ PCI. The basic specs are the same (Click the linky to Wikipedia).
Digium support made a mistake on their end. It does work in PCI-X and Vale has been updated via email.
