SIP SUBSCRIBE request from asterisk

Hi!

I’m trying to find out how the SUBSCRIBE/NOTIFY mechanism in asterisk is working.
I want my asterisk box to send “SIP SUBSCRIBE” to a Cisco CUCM to ask for notifications.

The documentation seames to be focused on SUBSCRIBE/NOTIFY the other way round where asterisk is receiving subscription requests.

Anyone who knows anyting more about this?

As far as I can tell, only message-summary type subscriptions are supported upstream.

Does CUCM actually support presence over SIP? I would expect them to charge per monitored address, if they do.
