Sip jitterbuffer

Hi!

Im still having some echo from calls recieved from my voip-provider. Could setting jitterbuffer be useful to minimize the echos?

In my recordings done on the asterisk, i can hear my agents clear and sharp, but persons we have called via voip-provider is having an echo of their voice.

is it possible of setting jitterbuffer in sip.conf?

Hi

No it wont, If this is sip only the echo is coming from somewhere else, my guess will be the agents phones, what are they using ?

Also try another supplier it may be their pstn interfaces.

We are using vaxvoip softphone.
could the agents softphones produce echo of the incoming calls voice?

Yes. All full duplex SIP phones will produce some echo. It is the responsibility of the SIP phone to predict and substract out as much as possible of the echo.

alright, thanx
