Hey,

I’m total newbie to this s/w and forum too. So what’s the contribution of Asterisk in VoIp thing?

I was asked to do this

  1. Register to create a SIP account
  2. To be able to make a outgoing call.
  3. Terminate/disconnect a call.

How do I create or say get SIP username and password? Also will I able to establish and terminate a call. How far does Asterisk helps me too?
