I have an asterisk box with a Sangoma A200 with one FXO module. I have asterisk already working and the Sangoma card installed and configured. My problem is when placing an outgoing call via ZAP, in the asterisk CLI it shows that ZAP answers the call but on my softphone I only hear silence.
My system overview:
UK based
Fedora Core 5 Distro
Sangoma A200 card with 1 FXO module
1 PSTN line (BT)
Xlite and Idefisk softphone
Asterisk-1.2.18
Zaptel-1.2.17.1
Libpri-1.2.4
CLI output when placing outgoing calls on idefisk:
-- Executing Dial("IAX2/2001-2", "ZAP/1/tel.number") in new stack
-- Called 1/tel.number
-- Zap/1-1 answered IAX2/2001-2
this is the same scenario when using xlite
i only hear silence on my softphone (no ring or anything)
any advice or pointers would be very much appreciated.
same thing. still silence when i place an outgoing call. any other suggestions? do you think it has something to do with the phone line since it is a BT line of UK?
do you think that there is something wrong with the configs or missing out on something? advices and suggestions would be highly appreciated. many thanks…
just an update on my work i am still unable to place outgoing calls. I still hear nothing, only silence. i have changed my zapata.conf various times and currently i have it set as shown below:
i have remove the config for the other port since i only have one POTS (BT) line connected to port 1 of the A200. Unfortunately, incoming calls does not work also.
any one willing to suggest or advice on how this could be resolved?
by the way, aside from having caller id activated on the POTS line, are there any more parameters that i need to know and get from BT to get my system going?
