I get the following message on the console. The IP address is that of an Audiocodes MP-118, which seems to be working fine. These messages occur every 30 seconds or so regardless of whether there’s a call taking place. What does this mean?

That’s exactly what it was - the entry in the sip.conf file had a mailbox= statement in it but the voicemail.conf did not have that mailbox defined. that’s what you get when you cut and paste without looking very carefully - thanks for the tip.
