Register sip user through Asterisk manager interface

Hi all,

I would like to ask whether theer is any AMI(Asterisk manager interface) command to register any user configured on Asterisk (configured in sip.conf and extensions.conf).

Like, we have X-lite, that registers user on Asterisk, similarly, i would like to regsiter it through my application by using AMI commands.

Please guide me to achieve this.

Asterisk does not support that. There are a lot of “parameters” that that the SIP phone sends to Asterisk when messages go back and forth such as the callID, cseq etc. So in reality it wouldn’t be practical. If you are going this far why don’t you just create your own soft phone ?
