Question:sound break

today I found a sound problem ,the calling will have one or two seconds of breaking, the connection is still there, only the sound went lost, and after that it went well again. such phenomenon appear not regularly. This makes calling uncomfortable

have you such kind of problem? Does someone knows where is the cause and how to deal with it?

no body has the same or likely problem ?

You dont expect any answer for a very setup-dependant problem without posting ANY information bout hardware, setup etc ?

I m using a sip phone . the external is a ntba box(ISDN), which is connected with *box through the junghanns bri isdn card.
sip.conf

I don’t know which conf file is relevent in this situation, paste the zapata and zaptel .conf too, if need else files to figure out the reason, pl let me know
zapata.conf

zaptel.conf

Hi !

  1. Is this a ZAP call or SIP call ?
  2. Is there ANY router involved ?
  3. Is the phone registering from outisde (not local net) ?
  4. Is there any alert on the CLI that moment or in the logs (var/log/asterisk) ?

this is a sip phone (elmeg from snom), connect through LAN with *server,
the incoming call go => ntba =>hfc isdn card => *server => lan => sip phone . it should be a call between sip and zap

it should have nothing to do with route. the IP phones are connected with *server without routes. if you mean the connection between ip phones and *server. the incoming calls and outgoing calls are through isdn

it is local registered.

there is only alert that the d channel is not available, i think it is because i did not plug the isdn phones in it.

I would fix that first. It MIGHT be, asterisk is doing “something” in the background with such an alert causing kind of a break.

Only a suggestion.

i will try it later, now m going to install the analog card
