Putting messages in asterisk log

Is it possible to be able to echo some custom text into the asterisk log file if a call passes through a given context?

Just looking at easing troubleshooting when using the log file by having some custom messages echoed as calls pass through asterisk.

does the NoOp() application suffice for you ?

edit: or look at the Verbose() application
