Pulse dial telephone not dialing

According to SIN351, recall is a loop current of less than 1mA, for between 53 and 103 ms, in the answered state, so I presume the nominal duration is 78ms. A digit 1 seems to be < 500µA for between (approximately) 63 and 72ms, so you can only tell them apart by context.

Does this mean that the DialSpeedTest application will not work properly for UK phones at present?

It wouldn’t be the phone that was the issue, for dialling. I haven’t looked in detail but either DAHDI can be localised for the BT, in which case it is DAHDI that will get confused, or it can’t, in which case it is not going to be able to detect BT recall.

If the first case applies, configuring DAHDI for US pulse dial should avoid 1’s being recognized as recall, but will also stop BT recall being detected, as recall, at all.
