problem making 1 plus calls

I have an old Asterisk/FreePBX system (ver 13.0.167) that has developed a strange problem. I have two copper lines with analog FXO ports. I want to use one port for local outgoing and 800 calls, the other for all other 1+ calls. SOMETIMES, when I make a 1-123-456-7890 type call, I get exactly two times where I get an instant ring signal, and neither of the analog lines goes off-hook. The 3rd time I try the call, it goes out as intended on the desired line. I’ve been chasing this for some time and have extracted some logs, but they don’t tell me what is wrong.

You may find more experience on the FPBX forums. Some members here have experience with it, and some not.

I’ve worked with Asterisk for about 25 years and have never used FPBX.

A console log (with verbosity cranked up a bit) may yield clues.

Thanks for the pointer to FPBX. I have some conflicting notes from a long time ago. Some say to not have the dialplan in outgoing routes, the other says to not have it in trunks. Right now I took the dilaplan out of the trunks section and will see what happens. It seems like every time the system is rebooted, the same dialplan info goes back in both places.

Thanks,

Jon
