Prepend digits to backup trunk in outgoing calling rules

Hi,

I’m unsung asterisk 1.6.2.13 on a QNAP TS-119 NAS (ARM CPU). I’ve used the asterisk-gui - 2.0.4-1 for configuration.

I’ve been using an FXO trunk and am now adding GSM trunk as backup. That works fine, except for local calls: The cellphone trunk needs get the local area code prepended. The option is there in the GUI, unfortunately it doesn’t work, i.e. when I insert the area code in the ‘prepend digits’ field and click OK, the button doesn’t do anything

Here is my code for this section (from extensions.conf). Can someone give me the syntax to prepend the digits ?

[CallingRule_FXO_trunk] exten = _XXXX.,1,Macro(trunkdial-failover-0.3,${trunk_3}/${EXTEN:0},${trunk_1}/${EXTEN:0},trunk_3,trunk_1)
Note: Trunk1 = FXO, Trunk3 = GSM

Although this may depend on how the macro works, and that is part of the GUI.

I’ve edited the data in the config file and checked if it shows up in the GUI - which it does

For the sake of completion and for further readers facing this problem:

DigitsA = get prepended to the number sent to trunk 3
DigitsB = get prepended to the number sent to trunk 1

In my case, I needed only digitsB
(BTW, I had previously inverted the trunks. The correct numbering is: GSM = trunk 1, FXO = trunk 3)
