Parking lot announcement plays to wrong party - Asterisk 1.8

I tested Asterisk 1.8.0 and found when parking a call it would play back the number the call’s parked at to the wrong party. I just tried out a new install of 1.8.4 and found it’s still doing the same thing. When the user parks the call the line sounds like it goes dead. The remote party here’s “71” then hold music. The parking lot is functional since the user can dial 71 to retrieve the call.

I’m assuming this is a bug and not a setting. Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

There is, I seem to remember, a bug report on issues.asterisk.org with a very similar title.

In the comments it looks like they’re saying that’s how it’s supposed to work which makes no sense.

Are you doing an attended or a blind transfer?
