Ogg format voicemail

My voicemail is working perfectly with wav attached in the email. I want to use ogg instead of wav.

I tried to edit voicemail.conf and add :
format=ogg

But it is still sending wav file in email. I looked in /usr/lib/asterisk/modules/ and I don’t have any format_ogg_vorbis.so. Is it normal ?

I installed asterisk 1.6.2 from source on ubuntu 9.10 amd64.

Howdy,

If you don’t have format_ogg_vorbis, then Asterisk didn’t detect the vorbis and ogg libraries when it was configured prior to when it was built.
