UPDATE:
although both endpoints reported to use alaw codecs, they weren’t incompatible in some way - canreinvite=no solved it.
I already asked this in my “one way audio” question, but maybe it’d be better to start a new thread because it’s a totally differenz problem:
Today the asterisk failed registering to the Sipgate peer, telling me:
WARNING[2789]: chan_sip.c:18165 handle_response_register: Forbidden - wrong password on authentication for REGISTER for ‘105xxxxe18’ to ‘sipgate.de’
A wireshark dumpm shows "SIP/2.0 403 Forbidden (No valid username)"
The username in the sip.conf is the same a VoIP telephone registers just fine with.
Needless to say that I changed the password on Sipgate and the sip.conf as well. It started acting this way from one day to the other.
