Network Connection Problem ---HELP!

We are attempting to connect our ASTERISK server to another network, outside of our limited/Comcast network. We are on a 192.168.x.x network with WAN service being provided by Comcast. We are attempting to PING,TRACEROUTE,call by SIP to a Vorizon network 75.200.x.x?

Our network configuration is fairly simplistic we have the following:

Comcast router providing External WAN connection

connects to

8-port Linksys router

connects to

our CPU’s.

We are NOT running Firewall or NAT YET!!! Want to get the connection done first.
We do have DNS up and running
I hope this is enough information for you to help us?

How do we make the final connections to outside networks?

Can you put your pbx in public

If your asking can we register our network with ICANN, yes we can. Will this solve the problem?

Thank you!!!

Hi,

Can you give us some demo IP details as i think the problem is due to only natting across wan.

With respect to our IP addresses, they are 192.168.1.103 (asterisk server)
192.168.1.100 local desktop making phone call for now.

The address we are calling is a 75.200.x.x vorizon IP number and it changes every 2 or 3 days according to their DNS scheme.

We don’t have NAT running yet? We also have not registered ourselves with ICANN or a subsidary of ICANN.

Any ideas on what might be causing the problem?

If your asterisk is with 192.168.1.100 - either your router does NAT or your asterisk is limited only and alone to your LAN.
If you can ping google from your Asterisk server - you have NAT

Take a look at your Linksys router configuration/manual or call their support directly. The issue is likely router config.
