Need help with voice menus

Hi,

I have set up 3 sip accounts and I need some help with setting up voice menus.

Someone can help me with that which is to enter the extension.conf?

welcome audio file is here / home/asterisk/sound/welcome.mp3

My sip accounts 1001,1002,1003 I will have 2 units a support and a sales department

all three must be connected to the support team and the 1001 and 1002 shall be connected to the sales department

Asterisk does not support mp3 for an IVR. Convert it to wav, WAV, SLN etc.

The default directory is /var/lib/asterisk/sounds. I personally create my own directory in there so I would do something like: mkdir /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/my_prompts. In the IVR menu when you want to play a file you would do Background(my_prompts/file_name).

As far as setting up a system and configurations you need to give a bit more details such as do you want all phones to ring ? Do you want a queue ? Do you want to append the caller ID ?

I have to voice menus. But I have some small problems. When I have created a conversation then shut it down after 20 seconds. And I have trouble getting played by the wav files.
