I need some advice. Is it worth upgrading from 1.2.7 to 1.2.13, when using just SIP. What pitfalls I will possibly run into.
In a while I will visit an installation, where they have asterisk 1.2.7 in production. And there has been no problem with it. So I’m wondering is it worth a risk to upgrade to 1.2.13 and possibly get new problems/bugs or perhaps should I leave it as it is (and possibly one day run into a problem/bug that has been fixed in 1.2.13)?

Your first port of call is the changelog and it will tell you what has been fixed and as such what bugs.
