MWI - Takes 30 minutes to clear

Hi,

I am having an issue that after an Asterisk instance was moved to a different server and asterisk
version upgraded to 15.7.2 – all the sip clients are complaining that when the voicemails are checked, it now takes 30 minutes for the MWI (Message Waiting Indicator) to turn off / stop blinking, instead of clearing immediately.

Any pointers in solving this issue? Thanks!

Asterisk 15 is security fix only[1] and I believe has known MWI problems. Current branches/releases do not suffer from any known problems.
