MWI on standalone voicemail server

Hi,

I’m currently using Asterisk 13 as a standalone voicemail server on a mobile phone network.

I need to setup the MWI as an SMS message. Can anybody provide some direction?

You have several opportunities. The easiest one would be the usage of a mail2sms-Gateway allowing You just to use the standard-mail-functionslity of voicemail.conf.
All other approaches (aka direct SMS-sending) would require some scripting and including in voicemail.conf.
