Multiple fax telephone lines

I am trying to setup my office which has multiple fax and telephone lines. I have no Idea bout PBX etc. What I am trying to achieve…get faxes from each of the fax lines and send them as images to a dedicated PC/Server.
Qustion: How do I set up the physical infrastructure (together with required hardware) and how do I go about using this software to get the images.

Setting up faxing with asterisk can be a bit tricky. If you just need faxing you may want to look at Symantec’s faxing products. What kind of phone lines do you have ? How many faxes do you expect at once ?
