Multiple calls BY one USER

Hi,

I need help for multiple calls by IAX2 user at one time.

It means I want to place three calls at a time by my IP IAX2 phone.

I want to check that my IP hard phone place three calls and at allow to permit three calls at a time.

Advance Thanks

Satti

have you tried to place 3 calls at one time ? if so, what happened ?

i just placed 3 calls from idefisk to Echo() with no problems, so it’s obviously possible. being a monday however, my mind reading skills are still recovering from the weekend, so if you want any further help you’ll need to document what you’ve done/have configured.

asterisk by default does not limit the number of connections/channels per iax/sip peer. You should be able to do it no problem

Thx for Review of Question.

I would like to check that my IAX2 user can place three or more call s at a time.

I want that IAX2 user could only place permitted no of calls only.

I have no idea how I can do this job

slightly contradictory there ! do you want them to be able to place 3 or more calls at a time, or restrict them to 3 (or another number) calls at any one time ?

we still have no clues as to what you have tried or are trying to configure. tuesday am, and still no mind reading !

Dear,

I want to bound a user to originate only limited(Permitted) no of call at one time.

So I want to place three calls at one time by IAX2 user and check that user is bound to limit no of calls or not.

Simply I want to check that a IAX2 user can place three call at a time and if he will try to place four call at a time asterisk reject it.

I think my question is now clear to you.

Satti

i am guessing ‘check’ means check like put in check, not like check to verify.

You need to set up a call limit i think it is… I don’t remember the exact procedure. Search voip-info.org or someone else will fill you in…

I accept my english is not professional.
But answer of every one is also not professional.

it’s not like anyone here gets paid to do it !! aside from the initial few days, there are almost no posts from Digium employees on this board, the remainder are from people that volunteer time and information.

if you want “professional” service, you pay “professional” fees. if you want advice and help for free, you get informal service.

Dear, Am I Right?

If someone know answer of a question then he will reply otherwise no need to reply of a post.

Sorry, if some wrong wordings from my side.

Satti

try adding a limit=somenumber to iax.conf in that users section. that may help. might be call-limit=somenumber.

Also- your bad english is forgiven, many people here seeking help do not speak english very well. It is not a problem. I suggest be very discriptive of what you want, so even if you use the wrong word it still gives us an idea of what you want.

Just keep in mind that this is NOT an official or professional support system. If our responses are not professional, it is because we are not doing this professionally. Nobody is being paid to post on this forum, or answer questions here. We are a mix of hobby users, professionals, newbies- we answer where we can but there is no expectation that every answer will be helpful/professional, or even that there will be an answer at all.

It is also highly suggested that every new poster reads the ‘sticky’ posts at the top of the forum (the ones that are always there). They contain many links to Asterisk information, and it is very good to check there before you ask here, as you may get a more helpful or complete answer from those documents than you will here.

For the record- I am not complaining about you personally or the question you asked. I am providing advice so that you may enjoy these forums more. Anyway, hope the above helps you with your problem!
