John Doe <4000> calling

Sorry if this has been asked before - but I am very new to the Digium forum and could not find anything when searching.

The whirlpool voip forum in Australia has come across a strange phenomenon - calls from John Doe in the middle of the night.

I have provided the above link if anyone is interested.

Is this occuring just in Aus or is anyone else experiencing calls from John?

Everyone so far appears to be asterisk users in some capacity.

Some one out there is trying to find vulnerable boxes. As long as you have asterisk set up right you should be fine.
