I have issue with making calls using google voice. I can recive incoming calls no problem and asterisk dials out using google voice but it seems that google belive that I am outside of U.S. . When i dial out using asterisk over google voice I get message from google voice. "I am sorry you don’t have enough credits to complite the call"
I wonder if I am missing setting that tells google voice I am located in us? The call phone in gmail has option to select location.
I see India and U.S listed so when I dial out asterisk must be telling google that iam calling from india.

Can you post any messages from the Asterisk Console? (Connect to the asterisk process via “asterisk -rvvv”). Also, please post your dialplan for outbound calls.

I need to edit my dial plan. I want my internal callers to use 9 prefix when calling out but it asterisk is sending out the number as dialed now and google voice belives I am making longdistance call. I just need to know how to drop 9 from dialed number?

You’ll need:

[gvoice-out]
exten => _9NXXNXXXXXX,1,Dial(gtalk/googlevoice/+1${EXTEN:1}@voice.google.com)
exten => _9NXXNXXXXXX,n,Hangup()

Cheers

Thank you that fixes the issues.
