Installing and running Asterisk as root

Good afternoon…

I just wanted to make sure that Asterisk is always supposed to be installed and run as root and not as some other user like “asterisk”.

It’s not clear in the documentation, at least not in the docs I could find.

Better to set any app not to run as root. Have a look here:
