Installation completed and I have a zaptel.conf file but no zapata.conf. TDM400P card channel 1& 4.
Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

I am not sure of your setup but here is a simple zapata.conf on 1 I have a analoge telephone line (POTS) and on 4 I have an analoge handset.

After doing a complete re-installation of Asterisk and Zaptel there is no zapata.conf file in etc/asterisk/

Did you run “make samples” when you installed Asterisk?
If you did not you can just make your own.
