Hi all Asteriskians,
I come in Piece …
I know I may be asking a Stupid question but…
I dont know where to go… so here it is…
I am a system administrator with a Company of around 100 employees
here is the Setup:
- we have head office and a branch office
- Both exist at diff locations
- FAX are only received in Head office
- But also those are required by Branch office employees
- Mail Server Exchange 2003 in head office
the scenario:
- Faxes should be sent and received from head office OR
- Using VoIP from Branch OFFICE
- Received FAXes should be available in User/Group mail boxes (Exchange/Outlook)
- From Outlook they should be able to send FAXes
- SHOULD BE FREE ( Like all companies my Company too want whatever can come free TAKE it )
Questions
- What Setup is Required (Hardware / Software)?
- Is asterisk the solution (We just Want FAXes and Voice Messages)
- If yes How?
- or should i Implement Hylafax
- Or any Suggestions
I have been searching for solution from Quite some time…
couldn’t get much info but came to these to
- Asterisk
- Hylafax
But again Not Much of info on my type of scenario is available…
After going through Searches and reading info here n there… I know I am bringing in a Tank to Kill a Snake if i use Asterisk only for FAX but well… Thats only what my company expects from me to implement, maybe in future I will implement rest too… of course with help from U all Asteriskians
Can any of gurus out there Help me here…???
