Trying to install some asterisks packages such as ASTERISK-SOUNDS,when typing http:// wget…>>
This is why i get :
"HTTP REQUEST SENT,AWAITING… ERROR 404 NOT FOUND"
i’m using debian,could someone help me on how to fix it plaese.

Use: wget then the URL. Example : wget mysite.com/gogo.wav

I installed DAHDI and LiPri,and the installaaation was correct:
It is necessary that i have a Web Server ?

Asterisk doesn’t need a web server. Some GUI front ends may need one.

But while trying to download asterisk package,this is what i got>>

There was a download server outage over the weekend while services were upgraded. Please try again.
Alright thank,but now let me tell what i got while installaling these necessary packages :
apt-get install build-essential /
apt-get install libxml2 libxml2-dev openssl libssl-dev libncurses5 libncurses5-dev libnewt0.52 libnewt-dev vim-nox libsqlite3-dev/
After pressing the Y boutton to say yes,these packages seems to be installed,but i must to press enter to display this message : “media change : Please insert the disk labeled”,he also display this at the end “100% Working_” but nerver return to the normal mode such as root@debian:`# that allow me to continue the configuration (It take so long) that’s normal
Need help please.
