How to check the syntax of a config file before loading it?

Usually the config is immediately applied to the PBX.
But what if there is an error in the configuration file, how to find out in advance?

Is there a way to parse the config file before loading it?

No, there is not. Depending on what is using the config file it may or may not be applied (older stuff behaves differently, things like PJSIP which are new have more defined behavior and won’t allow a broken configuration).

I don’t know if this is still true, but some modules used to look for keywords in the file, rather than try and decode all the keywords found. That means those modules would never fault a misspelled keyword.
