How to change sip ports?

Hi,

I am new to asterisk. i want to use Asterisk like below:

me—NAT—ISP-------Asterisk--------ISP----NAT—Boss

Now i am going to change my default sip port 5060 to 9099.
whenever i change it in sip.conf, it is not working. I think it may be a bug of Asterisk@Now.

Please help.

You must change the port in both the Asterisk SIP profile, and your SIP client (phone or softphone).

I 've checked out that when my soft-phone(Zoiper) is changed with sip port (example, 5988 also changed it in the sip.conf file) it is also not working. But if in the server bindport=5060 then it is working whatever the soft-phone port is.

I also want to know about iax supported hard phones.
