How Does The Vonage Ruling Affect Us?

I’m no lawyer, so I would like community input on how this ruling will change the lives of us Asterisk users.

The discussion on /. is more centred around how companies like AT&T have quashed a competitor - have they just quashed and entire industry? Is Asterisk as we know it now a business risk to implement (especially as a DID provider?)?

IMHO it’s a cat and mouse game. They are trying to bully vonage around. I remember when Verizon Wireless came out with a Push To Talk service. Nextel tried suing them thinking that they would loose business to Verizon.
