How do I configure asterisk?

Which one is better and easier for configure asterisk,directly or by GUI ?
I’d appreciate any idea.

By GUI should be simpler but it hides many concepts about * you can learn working with config files.

I dot not use any * GUI, I don’t know which could be better for you but if you are not scared about work directly with configuration files because you have full control.
