For some time i have home assistant and nextcloud and for a longer time i play with asterisk.
i have very ugly code i want to rewrite and make better. Because together you can do magical stuff.

  • Nextcloud users and groups usable in asterisk. and LDAP
  • If people call your cell phone and your home your home voip phones ring.
  • Set a available/away(text) in home assistant.
  • nextcloud group based actions. (not everyone hears the away text and some group can always call you when busy)
  • nextcloud agenda. (agenda can set you busy, except for attendance of the agenda item)
  • Home assistant AI. (you can confince a LLM to call anyway. for example if the caller knows the full name of someone of your inner circle. (names are NOT in the prompt) and something terrible happened to that person. and its in middle of the night you still get the call. AND you can make it order a pizza for example

anyone interested in helping with the asterisk integration? Im a fidler.

Hey @Daft_Dutch , I have been working on an open source project to build a voice assistant to answer calls, this will be an interesting use case, happy to connect and collaborate to understand what you are trying to build.

Not trying to build. Unspagetti and rewrite. And fix regression.
