High Availability on Asterisk free PBX

Hello,
Does Asterisk free PBX supports HA configuration? When primary server goes down, secondary server should take over the phone registration and call traffic.
If it is supported, what are all the mechanisms Asterisk use for HA configurations?
Please confirm.

There is nothing explicitly built into Asterisk for such functionality. Registrations can be stored in a database, and there exists other tools to move IP addresses and such. Calls would drop though.
