Is there a way for Asterisk to generate ANI2 information for outgoing calls? I know it can handle incoming ANI2 information, but I’ve seen no examples of how to include this information in calls you’re sending out. Any information on this subject would be appreciated!
The flow of calls in our particular setup is as follows:
[Asterisk]–SIP–>[Cisco AS5400]–ISDN–>[Class 4 Switch]–>[PSTN]
We need the ANI2 info as an authentication mechanism. DNIS, the other supported method on our switch isn’t practical for us for technical reasons.
