Known fact, if asterisk cannot connect out, it will drop ALL registered devices and refuse to re-register them until at least one trunk is up. (actually its when it can resolve DNS, but yeah)
My question is, Is there anyone that knows how to get around this, Id still like to make internal calls when we have DNS problems.
Thanks in advance
huh?
it seems that most people in fact start out their learning experiences with asterisk by hooking it up without a trunk and testing calls between extension before they add a trunkā¦
asterisk will drop registrations if it does not have access to a DNS server but i have never seen deregistration of extensions because of a lack of a trunk.
Thats what I meant
Any way to ignore lack of DNS?
