[HELP] Can't record a call with automon

I want have the fonctionality of record calls. I follow some guide and set in feature.conf:

[featuremap]
automon = *1

and in extensions.conf:

[globals]
DYNAMIC_FEATURES=>automon

But if I press *1 during a call nothing happend. The directory /var/spool/asterisk/monitor is empty.

Help!

does your dial string include the appropriate option … W or w (depends if you’re the caller or callee)

is Asterisk “seeing” your DTMF correctly ?
