My first machine is complete replica of my current machine but didn’t face any sort of problems. Please do advise what steps shall I take to overcome this issue.

Note: Even not adding modules using command make menuselect, getting this same error. The OS I’m using is RHEL 5.3.

  1. Trying to run non-root - possible but you need to know what you are doing (I wouldn’t advise it to somone who doesn’t know how to interpret the output you quote - you need a fairly good understanding of Linux). If you don’t have a very large file limit, you may have problems. Only root can increase the limit.
