Would you recommend installing from apt-get or compiling? Do you know if the make sample conf files are installed if I install it from apt-get? I’m totally new to Asterisk.
We (the project) don’t create or control the packages themselves. This means that they are built according to how the packager thinks they should be, and may not be up to date at times. You can certainly use them as long as you are okay with those aspects.
