Error: ?Configure script must executed before running Make&q

HI all

I tried to install asterisk version 1.4, and when I made ?make? I receive a error message ? The configure script must executed before running ?make? ?. I tried to search some in the FAQ but nothing refer to this error.

The OS is Linus Red Hat 4 AS

I need to make some steps before ?make? command.

Try ./configure

i would say go even more basic … read the flippin’ README, CHANGES and the rest of the text files in the source dir. if you have a working Asterisk isntallation, the chances are there are changes that will affect you.

if you’d done that, you would have seen the requirement to run the configure script before compiling. you’ll also benefit from “make menuselect” before compiling.
