ICYMI there’s been a hiatus with Asterisk not making the cut for official Debian Bookworm, but, there’s move a foot for Debian Trixie 
This came up again on the AstriDevCon developer call earlier this month… and as mentioned on that call, we’ve got some options for Asterisk 22 on Debian 12 with official Sangoma FreePBX package repository but “apt install asterisk” on stock Debian is still a worthwhile goal.
As a bit of an update, please consider that lots of Debian work happens on mailing lists, and then once suitably prepared with that in mind, you might venture down this path:
