E1 Time Slip Problem

Hi all,

We have two E1 voip (asterisk) gateway machines using 3x openvox D410E board each.
Our ISP provider is complaining that we are having Bit Slips.

For example:

This is happening in several spans.

We run a timing test:

asterisk -rx “timing test”
Attempting to test a timer with 50 ticks per second.
Using the ‘DAHDI’ timing module for this test.
It has been 1019 milliseconds, and we got 51 timer ticks

asterisk -rx “module show” | grep timing

We are supposed to receive the timing from our ISP:

Can you help us to test this and validate the problem? And if ours help to solve this?

OpenVox is already checking, may I ask you if each E1 card should have synchronization towards TDM Line?
Do you know if we can have 1 on each card?

I ask this because the card we have that receives the time from E1 Line no span have Time Slip and the other card have time slips.

In general, not just for Asterisk, the public network operator is always the timing source, where one end connects to them.

I believe I found the issue, the second card was not having the master clock, I’ve configure the time on 2nd card as on the first and no more time slips
