Does Asterisk 13.10.0 uses MySQL on dialplan

Hi guys,

I am using Asterisk 13.10.0 but when I tried to connect to my external database I get the error

“No application MySQL for extension mycontextname”.

I am connecting in this line

n,MYSQL(Connect connid serverdatabase ghdghdghx yughdg673 hjdghdsks)

I have been trying to fix this but I am not getting any luck.

You need to compile app_mysql in the addons folder. You can do this by selecting it in the Add-Ons category in menuselect.

While you can use app_mysql, you should note that the preferred mechanism for querying an external database is through func_odbc.
