When a pstn call comes in, asterisk answers it and forwards to the ring group, however there is a dely of about ten seconds where the caller hears nothing and may assume they are cut off. Can we bypass that delay ?
Just taking a stab here, but I’ve observed this behaviour in systems other than * when the receiving system is waiting for caller ID info but doesn’t receive any. You might be able to try disabling caller ID reception in asterisk or on your FXO card.
