Dahdi answer signal on bridge vs on answer

Hi,

I am using a dahdi FXO card (openvox a400). I have it configured to the telco jack and am passing calls successfully. The only issue is I get the answer signal right after the call is sent to telco vs when the call picks up. This is affecting my billing. Is there any way to fix this?

This has been an issue I have seems for many years, On all my searches I have found it is an issue with the configuration of answer supervision, as an aside support for Digium hardware it is provide directly by Digium, Third party hardware support should be addressed with the vendor or manufacture

You need the destination to provide answer supervision (normally a line reversal) and then configure to use it. Without answer supervision, the call will never be treated as answered, if you try and wait for answer in Asterisk.
